LZ2 Flash

The Lumix LZ2 has an average built-in flash. The working range of the cameras flash is 0.5 - 2.6 m at telephoto and 0.3 - 4.2 m at wide-angle, you cannot attach an external flash to the LZ1 or the LZ2 cameras, you need one of the big Lumix cameras like the Lumix DMC FZ20 to do that.

Lumix Movie mode

There is a movie mode on both the Lumix LZ1 and the LZ2 cameras. You can record video at 320 x 240 at 30 frames/second until the memory card is full, which is not long at all with the Lumix LZ1 and LZ2s standard 14MB of internal memory. The LZ2s ability to record sound along with images is a nice touch as is the fact that the image stabilizer functions in movie mode.
