Lumix camera O.I.S system.
Every
digital camera in the
Panasonic Lumix range now has the O.I.S
(Optical Image Stabilizer) system; this system is
indispensable for all
digital cameras,
especially for compact models that tend to lack
stability.
How the O.I.S system works
The problem when shooting
at the telephoto end of a lens is that tiny movements of the
camera can blur your photos, even at fairly fast shutter
speeds.
The
Panasonic O.I.S system
helps eliminate this blurring by detecting even slight
handshake movement with a super fast sampling frequency of
4,000 times per second and then compensating for this camera
shake and motion by shifting element in the cameras lens to
render clear, sharp digital images.
The Two O.I.S Modes
- Mode 1 - The stabilizer is constantly
running. In this mode, image stabilization is continuously
on. It helps you to compose shots in the Lumix cameras LCD
monitor and to see the focusing condition more clearly,
helping you to compose a photo without camera shake.
- Mode 2 - The stabilizer only activates
when the picture is taken. This does a better job of
eliminating the blurring caused by camera shake and should
be the mode used if you wish to use a tripod.
If you wish to use a tripod, you can also turn the whole
thing off.
Lumix Cameras
One of the biggest problems for the
digital camera user is that shaky hands are a common cause of
shots being spoiled by blurring, this problem is a thing of
the past on the Lumix digital camera range due to the O.I.S.
system, now you can take sharp photos with a digital camera
as small and cheap as the
Lumix DMC LS1 or
DMC
FX8.
The best place to buy a cheap
Lumix Camera
